How the SGD price is calculated

Silver trades internationally in US dollars per troy ounce. MarketsGrid converts that price into Singapore dollars at the live USD/SGD interbank rate, cross-checked across two sources (the Daily reference rate (ECB) until it loads), so the SGD price moves with both the metal and the exchange rate. Local dealers quote their own prices, which include premiums, taxes and their own FX rate.

Historical SGD prices on the chart are converted day by day with the reference rate in force on each date, which makes long-run comparisons in SGD meaningful: a rising SGD price can reflect a stronger metal, a weaker Singapore Dollar, or both.
