How the SEK price is calculated

Gold trades internationally in US dollars per troy ounce. MarketsGrid converts that price into Swedish kronor at the live USD/SEK interbank rate, cross-checked across two sources (the Daily reference rate (ECB) until it loads), so the SEK price moves with both the metal and the exchange rate. Local dealers quote their own prices, which include premiums, taxes and their own FX rate.

Historical SEK prices on the chart are converted day by day with the reference rate in force on each date, which makes long-run comparisons in SEK meaningful: a rising SEK price can reflect a stronger metal, a weaker Swedish Krona, or both.
